What better way to learn the basic blogging knowledge than from the convenience of a single website? I thought so.

And that’s the basic idea of IMakeABlog. A blogging resources for newbies who, as you would have guessed, new to blogging. This blog covers important areas such as:

Hello friends. My name is Nik Karlil, and I’m the creator of IMakeABlog.

This blog started off in 2008, to provide tutorials to friends and family on how to create a blog. At least that was the initial plan.

Not long after the site goes live, boredom got the best of me, and so I started writing more and more. (and more). Before I noticed, I have well over 30 pages of articles, on tips and reviews, and none of these have anything to do with how to create a  blog.

And since that is already the case, I figured might as well I turn this site into a hub for all new bloggers to learn about the basics of blogging. And so it become.

Although this site would not fit the definition of a blog, I will continue updating the articles for any changes. So you can be sure this is not your half ass resources.

As internet is a new market (or even a new world to some), be sure to capitalize on this opportunity to live the life you always dream of.

A little bit about me

Nik KarlilI’m 25 this year (2010), born and raised in Malaysia and had the privileged of studying oversea at the age of 23 (Melbourne). My field of study is in Accounting & Banking and Finance, and I’m currently working as an auditor in an audit firm.

My lifelong interest is in martial art. Currently I’m taking a deep interest in SEO as well.

My favorite movie of all time is the Matrix Trilogy.

For music, my Ipod top played songs are usually from Black Eye Peas, Muse, Marilyn Manson, Nirvana, Timberland and Lady Gaga. (and maybe ABBA…. Babyface.. Mary J Blige… John Mayor…)

Besides working on this site, I’m also working on another blog (it’s about personal development) plus a couple of mini sites. And to top it off, I’m also enrolled in a professional accounting course (CPA Australia).

So you can pretty much guess where my social life is heading.

When life is kinder to me, I enjoy playing badminton and basketball taking an afternoon nap.
